The year 2020 was tough for everyone. The pandemic left our community feeling isolated, and many families were facing financial hardship. The 2–3 Group Board wanted to give something back — a small gesture to bring smiles and festive cheer to Lossiemouth.
That’s when Louise and her family came up with the idea of a touring Santa bus! They mapped out 13 bus stops across Lossiemouth and chose Sunday to avoid heavy traffic and regular bus services.
Thanks to Stagecoach, who kindly donated a bus — with Andy (Louise’s husband) as driver and Liza Marie (Louise’s daughter) helping out — the magic came to life.
The tour included a longer stop near the RAF base and doctors, conveniently timed with the football match so Andy could catch his favourite team!
The day was a huge success — children lined up eagerly to meet Santa and his helpers, each receiving a small selection box as a gift. Despite the restrictions of the pandemic, the event brought joy, laughter, and togetherness to our community when it was needed most.
